Peace Crane Project at the OPL
On Saturday, September 19th, join the Peace Crane Project in celebrating International Peace Day, a day to remember the importance of peace and connect with your Oberlin community!
In collaboration with the Oberlin College East Asian Studies Department and the Oberlin Public Library, join us in learning about the story of Sadako and her Thousand Paper Cranes, fold an origami peace crane of your own, and write a message of peace! Open to all ages, this event will include a read-aloud, a “Story Walk” about Sadako Sasaki, a short film screening, a variety of paper, origami, and coloring activities, and the opportunity to connect with the Peace Crane Project.
