ON TRACK FOR KINDERGARTEN

From birth to age five, every moment matters.

Talking, reading, playing, and nurturing relationships help build strong, healthy brains long before the first day of kindergarten.

Children who receive early support for their individual strengths and challenges are more likely to enter school healthy, confident, and ready to learn. Research shows that children who begin school behind often continue to face challenges throughout their lives. There are only 1,900 days between birth and kindergarten.

Check your child's growth, milestones, and development today!

In less than 30 minutes per year, you can complete your child’s On Track for Kindergarten Check-In from your phone, tablet, or computer. Our On Track for Kindergarten Check-In is quick, easy to understand, and designed to help you keep an eye on your child’s progress from birth to 5.

Developmental screenings are recommended for all eligible children, regardless of income, disability status, special needs, or caregiver concerns. Get Play-Based Activities- receive simple ideas to support learning at home.

Connect with Support- find local resources, programs, and other Oberlin families.

Feel More Confident- gain peace of mind about your child’s development.

Developmental screenings are recommended for all eligible children, regardless of income, disability status, special needs, or caregiver concerns. WHY IS PARTICIPATING IN ON TRACK FOR KINDERGARTEN SO IMPORTANT?

90% of brain development happens by age 5!

The human brain grows faster during the first five years of life than at any other time, GROWING OVER ONE MILLION NEURAL CONNECTIONS EVERY SECOND!

These early connections create the foundation for lifelong learning, behavior, relationships, and health. The experiences children have in their earliest years help shape how they think, learn, connect, and thrive for the rest of their lives.‍ ‍

The Ages & Stages Questionnaires® (ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE-2) are simple developmental check-ins for children from birth through 66 months. Designed for screening rather than diagnosis, they provide a snapshot of your child's development, helping families celebrate strengths, track milestones, and connect with support when needed. We encourage families to share their results with their child's pediatrician as part of ongoing conversations about their child's growth, development, and overall well-being.
