School Ready: Meaningful Screenings Fair

Every child deserves a healthy, strong start to school.

Whether your child is starting kindergarten this fall or still has years left in their Countdown to Kindergarten, there is something for every family at the School Ready: Meaningful Screenings Fair!

Families can enjoy FREE:

  • Speech screenings

  • Vision screenings

  • Hearing screenings

  • Car seat safety checks by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians (all ages and car seat types)

  • Family-friendly activities and games

  • Community resources from local partner organizations

  • Door prizes, gift cards, and giveaways

  • Build Your Literacy Kit by visiting each partner station

  • Meet and network with other Oberlin families

  • Family Pizza Picnic from 5:30–6:00 p.m. (bring a picnic blanket or join us at the pavilion picnic tables!)

Whether your child is meeting developmental milestones, already receiving services, preparing for preschool, or getting ready for kindergarten, this event can provide helpful information, answer questions, and connect your family.

This event is FREE and open to all Oberlin families with children from birth through age 5. While most screenings are designed for children ages 2–5, families with younger children and older siblings are welcome to attend to learn about community resources, enjoy activities, and connect with other families.

Invite your friends and neighbors!
