Quick Milestone Checklist
Communication
By Age 1: Follow simple commands such as "Come here" or "Get your bottle"
By Age 2: Carry out directions without clues like "Bring me the cup" or "Find your coat"
Gross Motor
By Age 1: Walk with hand on furniture
By Age 2: Walk up or down at least two stairs
Fine Motor
By Age 1: Place a small toy down on ground without dropping it
By Age 2: Use twisting/turning motion to open door knobs, or wind up toys
Problem Solving
By Age 1: Find a toy after watching you hide it under a blanket
By Age 2: Pretend items are something else. (Example: Use a block as a phone)
Personal-Social
By Age 1: Let go of toy in their hand when you ask for it
By Age 2: Eats with a fork
