The Lorain County Imagination Library is marking its 10th Anniversary of putting free books into the hands of children and families.
From beloved classics like The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Little Engine That Could to new favorites like Roar-Choo! and Llama Llama Red Pajama, this program has shared the joy of reading and the power of imagination with thousands of young readers.
Did you know OberlinKids can sign your children ages 0-5 up for the Imagination Library? When you complete the On Track for Kindergarten annual screenings there is a questions asking if you would like us to register your child. Sign up for both at once!

An Oberlin tradition for more than 80 years, Art Rental provides college and city residents the opportunity to live with an original work of art for a semester. Each participant may choose one work from a random selection of five.
The rental fee is $5 for each work. Cash or check only. ID required.

The City of Oberlin is working with GPD Group to develop plans for improvements to the Oberlin Enrichment and Activity Center (OEAC). Part of this process is developing a vision for the space with the Oberlin community.
Although Recreation Department programming and the Senior Citizens Space will continue in the OEAC, we want YOUR INPUT on how to enhance these programs and/or on other uses the City should consider for the OEAC.

Spanish For Kids
Free Spanish fun for kids ages 5-7! Kids will learn Spanish in a playful, hands-on way with Oberlin College SITES instructors through songs, games, books, and conversation - all in Spanish! No experience needed, just bring your curiosity. Parents are welcome to join in to help model speaking in Spanish. No translating to English during class — let the immersion work its magic! Costume Swap
On Saturday, September 27th, bring your old gently used costume materials to our first ever Costume Swap!
That means capes, hats, jewelry, masks, suits, wigs, props, makeup and more! Whether you’re getting into the Halloween spirit, planning your next cosplay, or cleaning out your closet, we are here to provide for all your costuming needs. Kids and adults are invited to participate!
We will start accepting donations Monday, September 22nd. Donations should be clean and immediately usable. We ask that you limit your donations to two bags/boxes per person.
